Why does this game constantly have to reload itself?

Ever since iOS11 you CANNOT switch between apps with this game on an iPhone without it returning to the Marvel screen and reloading and re-logging in. I’m on the best iPhone available, 8 plus with 256gb. It’s not my hardware. Game itself runs great. But you cannot multitask or grab a text or change a song without waiting on a reload. Did not used to be nearly this bad before iOS11. What’s going on?
