AA breaking blocks

When fighting AA in section 3 of map 5, I was using Hulk and I evaded the first hit of his s2 then blocked because I was against the wall and unable to move any further away.
He hit me with the last 2 hits of his s2 after I'd evaded and blocked causing me to get 2 bleeds.
Is this correct?
I'm not aware AA can break block.
His only nodes are increased attack and health
