Just give everyone a 1* symbiote so we can put this disaster behind us

Kabam, you screwed up. We know it, you know it.

Easiest course of action is to just send 1* Steve to the people who don't have him currently. If it can't work like that, let everyone do Final Preperations again or something along those lines.

You tried a new format for the side events. It's bad (rewards are not as good as you made them out to be), it was received terribly because it was poorly thought out/communicated.

This doesn't even effect me personally but the best course of action is to just reset this all so we can all move on.

It really wasn’t that hard to complete the objectives. Also 24k 6* shards is pretty decent rewards for a side quest if you ask me, that’s not even counting what’s in the objectives. The objectives are still there…just do them if you haven’t?

I am not a grinder by any means and did them as I explored cav EQ quite easily

The time you spent complaining about the event, you could have just whipping through proven objectives. That's just laziness.

Even if u get him without doing 'Final Prep'(Week5) there is no use of him till 24 days cuz he is good and go through Horror quest when he is R5 which needs 240 Klyntar Cats which is 24 repeatable Quests in Legandary.
    So yeah...no use

There are still more than 24 days left though.

Kabam didn’t screw up in that the system was not bugged. Everything is working as intended and everybody has equal ability to access the October events.

However, I think most agree that this two month objective system is atrocious. I get that they wanted to try something new here, but good god has it sucked. I did all of the Cavalier objectives, I have access to this month’s event. But I hated almost every one of the objectives. They were a horrid grind that took hours to complete.

Kabam should not open up the event because “they made a mistake.” They didn’t. They *should* open up the event because the prerequisites are terribly boring and unengaging. It would be bad game design to gate Incursion access behind an Arena milestone, just the same way that gating this month’s side quest behind last month’s objectives is bad design.

If last month had been a series of quests that provided a fun challenge or even just a plain old series of fights (less than several hundred), I might have a different take on this. But September was awful and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. It was worth a shot, I hope Kabam learned from it. But let’s toss that in the bin.

This is not true, if the rewards for september were better everyone would have done it, now the october ones are actually quite good, so everyone wants access for free.. rofl talk about lazy.
They still have time to finish them and they still complain about it?...

I hated the objectives and expressed it when they were released. When they informed everyone you could do the easiest goal chain and still get the best rewards in October it was game changing. It’s really just a you issue.

Evidently we don’t all agree with you because we are literally saying we don’t agree. People can do the objectives they weren’t that bad.

    The rewards are nice too

They could have quintupled the the rewards and it would not have made that nonsense any more enjoyable. Again, I did it. It was awful. I understand other people not wanting to do it. For me, at least, it has nothing to do with the rewards.

For example, I despise arena grinding. That was the only reasonable way to accomplish the 100 6* wins with special attack final blows objective. No amount of rewards would have made me enjoy that, but I did it because I wanted to play the actual content for October.

So then all of the people who did do it deserve compensation right??? lol smh .... I'm really amazed at the entitlement of gamers these days who want everything for nothing. This is a game ... you are aware that you might have to eventually play it to obtain ranks, rewards etc??

I hated doing it ... trust me I did ... but when I realized it had to be done in order to gain access to October ... I did it. And honestly so can you.

Agree with wicket. Absolutely awful idea to have side events attached to another month. I frankly hate that there was only objectives and no side quests last month. With all the bugs and issues, why would they try this now? "BuT They sEnT aN gAmE mEssAge." Still doesn't mean it was a good idea. As soon as I saw there was no side quest last month and only objectives, I checked out and didn't read a thing, because the rewards weren't worth the insanely tedious grind. Good side quests keep me engaged in the game more(rifts, treasure hunt etc) and was looking to playing with Steve again but looks like another month without a side event. Smh. Personally I think they should give everyone a Steve but heavily nerf the rewards for people who did not do the objectives.

Gating one months objectives and side event quest behind the previous month was an awful idea.

Plus, These objectives are mind numbingly boring & they don’t even explain , in game, what champs to fight for the “nightmare fuel” objective. Any game mode or task that requires you to search outside the game to find information about said task or quest , is a fail.

Also, if you’re going to require people to fight a 6* Bishop , iceman , kitty or storm, those duel profiles NEED to be available in game…. And they aren’t.

Rofl so u are pretty much making the point for everybody who is opposed to opening the event to everyone.
The september rewards were terrible, but for you its enough, and thats why everyone should get access...

U STILL HAVE TIME TO DO THEM, STOP BEING A BUNCH OF CRY BABIES AND DO THEM.

Mmmmmm no. Kabam didn’t mess up. People who didn’t do the objectives due to laziness/the fact that they didn’t pay attention messed up. It’s a very simple task, and only SLIGHTLY grindy. I did every objective, even proven and conquerer, so I know people can’t complain that these are too difficult to complete.

Suggesting that everyone gets a free summoned symbiote is completely ridiculous and unfair to everyone who actually DID what was required.

I’ll admit the whole design of this event and the way it’s set up is pretty garbage, but that isn’t an excuse to give everyone a free pass for this event.

Traditional side quest is usually way more long and boring than those objectives of last month, if you are too lazy to read it's only your problem and the rewards of last month objectives weren't bad at all. Why should you get the symbiote if you were too lazy to deserve it?

To my understanding, if you've not done the September part, you cannot access the October objectives at all now. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Would make infinitely more sense to make September side event run into October so someone could pick up their phone on October 20th and play throught both sets of objectives
September objectives are still available and people can still do them and then unlock october objectives

October objectives are DAILY, meaning the more they spend time crying and not doing it, the more entries they lose.

October objectives will not be lost. They will stack until completed or expire on November 3rd

I did them. I did them as they dropped. I have access. Mate, maybe dial back the caps lock and consider reading the thread you’re responding to.

The question was whether compensation would be needed for the people who completed the September objectives if the October content were opened to everybody. I would argue that no, no compensation would be needed because there were rewards attached to the objectives.

Anybody that skips the objectives skips those rewards. That’s how the game has always been. You may say that those rewards were bad anyway, but it is the value that Kabam associated with those tasks. If Kabam wanted to give me more rewards for something I’ve already done, I wouldn’t be mad about it, but I’m not asking for it.

My position is that fun content shouldn’t be gated behind a miserable slog. That’s just poor design. If they need to alter rewards somehow, fine, whatever. But denying players access to fun content is not a good move.

Literally nothing at all stopping people claiming max rewards even if they only now realised what they have to do.
September objectives are still available and October objectives stack

The sense of entitlement is clearly shown on the forums, and its not because of what they write...
They just make a post about the same thing discussed over and over, instead of reading what is going on and the solution.
This are the same people that say " Well i didnt know.. i dont read ingame mail... Oh no no bad communication.. wahh wahh"... They cant even come to the forums and read about a current situation, they just want the easy route.. i make my post, and someone will answer...

I know u did them... But saying well u got the rewards... The rewards itself don't justify the grind we had to do to complete those objectives.. WE DID THEM TO ACCESS OCTOBER, and u wanna give them for free?.. In that case compensation would be required.. I did not do that whole grind for people to cry and get access ..
