Is Ronan good?

I just got a six star Ronan and duped him just five minutes later . I am curious is he good ? Is he complicated to play ? I am overflowing with T5 and T2 and I could use a good cosmic . Is he worth ranking ?

Ronan is... a simple champ

His best uses are fights where the opponent will gain loads of buffs (e.g. Resistor node, Act 4.3.6 Venom...)... or on Power Reserves (specials cost half power) because of the guaranteed stun from SP1.

Outside of that, he doesn't have much practicality; don't use him. If he isn't awakened, don't use him.

At 5* (and presumably 6*) he gets... a Fury when attacking...

But his main utility shines where the opponent has a lot of buffs... in which case he unlocks his true form: The Cheese Lord.

In many fights he's very ordinary, even below average.

Having said that, as you've duped him, then he's definitely worth the R2 given that you're overflowing with resources. If resources were tight, it might be a different decision.

Against opponents with a few buffs his damage starts to rise; and with 4-5 buffs or more he gets access to an almost infinite stun-lock. As long as he's not fighting a shrug-off champ, or someone else with access to Stun Immunity such as Hercules. Even in other fights he's got a little bit of utility - he's poison immune and has a Fury so can take on Acid Wash nodes. He can remove Fury buffs which can be handy against opponents who proc small numbers of potent Fury buffs, like Nick Fury. And he can convert Armour Up to Armour Break, which is handy against quite a few Tech champs with permanent Armour Up effects.

So yeah: R2 but no higher. He won't be a regular questing champ, but there are definite times and opponents where you'll pull him out of storage and he'll just cheese through opponents other champs struggle against. Enjoy!

Sometimes. But in those times he REALLY excels.

He's a character who is like a specialist called in for certain missions throughout the years. You won't use him often, but you'll definitely want him on your team when the time comes (when the defender will have a large, stacking amount of permanent buffs). Most folks are aware of his stun lock (the more buffs, the longer the stun), but don't forget the other important part. The more buffs, the higher his damage. This usually goes hand in hand with the stuns, but he can be used effectively even if stunning or knocking down isn't an option. Against SOP Venom (a fight where you can't knock him down) my maxed 5 star s200 was landing 30k+ mediums towards the end of the fight.
