Ibom steamrolls it. Just bring Void or She-hulk for the poison immune
How does ibom steam roll this? He removes all poisons each time you parry or dex. Even accidentally. That kind of gimps his damage a bit.
this is why i didn’t take him seriously 💀
Ibom steamrolled it with Mr fantastic and shehulk on the team. He gets to 15 furies under 30 seconds. Don't miss the node, reduced damage unless there is a non damaging debuff. Have to start with sp1. Sp1 sp1 and sp2 that all it took for me while exploring, sometimes less. The fights I couldn't use him dragged more. The boss antivenom is the annoying one. Just a long fight. With nothing to cheeze it.
This month seems to be extra annoying recently. After the update this month, the AI has been a lot more passive to me (defender keeps dashing back for no reason, and then light counters my dash in). Add to that the Parry + Dex issues, and playing the game has not been fun this month.
What has really been the least enjoyable for me so far is 3.1 EQ (Science), specifically the path that starts with Black Bolt but contains Psychoman, Nova, Mojo, Mephisto. All annoying defenders in their own ways that require different types of counter/playstyles. The node on this path is the one where they gain buffs when they are close to the wall, so the AI constantly dashing backwards really helps them out there.
IBom it would be easier for you to just try him yourself lol he’s right that he runs through the Cav quest though That said, this is the most boring of the Cav nodes to me lol

IAbom is my mvp for clearing 3.1, along with HT and CAIW, I count on these 3 mostly. Mr -ve works ok and void just never put on the field during exploration. Warlock fill the remaining seat.
Idk man I just feel like that 30% chance feel more like a 130% chance to trigger a poison. That’s how I feel for all these nodes that used against us. Low percentages trigger more against champs than for us. An example would be a low sig cap. Abilities would barely trigger at sig 30 but a node like contagion would trigger 5 times throughout a 5 hit combo. Idk just my personal opinion based off my experiences every month with the science cav eq.
Edit: I believe in prior months, the percentage was lower than 30 and still triggered 4 or 5 times on a 5 hit combo. I still do the quest with ease n stuff but I just found that quite interesting.

Don't forget biohazard ...says 20% chance but it's more like 80%
Wasn't a chapter, but the Anti-Venom fight was the least insignificant fight. I didn't have to revive, but I had to use more than one champ to bring him down almost everytime. Everything else just felt like slightly longer UC difficulty fights.
But this is for my account. I know there are some fights and paths that can be difficult for lacking rosters.

Wait till you're almost at 3 bars of power. Bait out sp and throw sp2, then throw sp1. The damage from the acid burn usually kills anything before it expires. While the node removes your poisons, it also gives you poisons which makes it easy to keep up your toxic husk. The short duration of the fight means you don't really have to worry about it falling of before they die. My Ibom is awakened sig 63. I imagine you will have to play more aggressively with an unawakened Ibom.

You don't need to start with sp1. You place petrify on the opponent when you trigger acid burn which removes the weakness. I just do sp2, sp1 and they're dead.

I used She-hulk for that fight and while it was a solo all the time, it was long and boring. All the other fights were more interesting tbh. I didn't even know what the nodes on him did, just hit him till he falls

That path was the hardest for me especially Nova who I suck at fighting. Why concentrate all the hard defenders on one I path and one quest? Nova should never be in the science quest, there are very few counters to him there.

Probably the sig helps you. Mine is unawakened. It was much quicker to just use she hulk that I didn’t bother with ibom after the first fight. It really is a boring chapter.

Awakening really helps. It makes his playstyle less aggressive. I remember struggling to maintain toxic husk before I awakened mine

I agree that was the most annoying and the last path I managed to clear. It was the only quest I had to spend some units on especially with that goddamn Nova. The easiest for me was prolly the cosmic. I had a lotta fun there with Angela😋
Cav eq was quiet restrictive on its first iteration. It is also mellowed down quite a bit in difficulty of paths since then. It's just a long thing we have to go though every month to get some goodies.
Simple plan is to find some time and blitz it. Atleast this month most boss fights are unique.
Pulled a 100% health perfect solo against Sym.
Found antivenom fight extremely sluggish. She hulk and void proved to be quite effective against him too.

Ah yes, I was also using She-Hulk and was able to solo him once or twice. I was running suis and had Nick's restoration kit in the team. So I usually cleaned up using Nick. I didn't bother too much about getting solos coz most of my team were alive and well before the boss fight
Side note: She-Hulk's furies seem to be triggering significantly less recently.

He places a glancing debuff on you reducing your attack and ability accuracy which prevents your furies from procing I never figured out what triggered the glancing tbh. I just waited it out. At least they didn't add microreflect
Science is def annoying but I always hate biohazard being paired with the mutant chapter. It’s getting old. Who are the best posion immune mutants ?? Omega Red, iceman and I guess cable and Emma to some extent. Good forbid I want to use another mutant and hit intro the enemy block.

I don't really remember anything surviving a 5r5's Acid Burn, and he pretty much stayed topped up through the quest.

So if you like Dhwk then carrying Nova makes him a bit more useful in Cav EQ.
