Anti Venom daily quest not counting

My screenname: Dalerion. The anti venom daily quest isn‘t counting today. In german it says: Take Anti Venom to win against Anti Venom Synergy partners.
So i took Venom the duck from monthly quest first but it‘s not counted:

It is probably because only his 2/3/4 star versions have the family synergy. But his 5/6 star versions do not have that synergy. The objective is probably based on his 6 star version, since normally that version would have all synergies.
It is an oversight by the creators for this objective.

I am in the same situation, I have also fought against duck venom and I did not get a reward

I've gotten the reward fighting Carnage, so I guess the correct synergies are from 6 stars Anti Venom

That's ridiclous. Since when do lower star versions have synergies that higher stars don't? I was wondering why my practice fights vs VTD and Venompool weren't counting. Eventually did as above and fought carnage a few times.

It's not broken.
You need to defeat champions with the same synergy, not who he has synergy with.
Example: both Anti Venom 3* and Venom 3* have the Family lvl 2 synergy.
Defeating Venom 3* on Act 2 Chapter 2 Quest 4 will count as progress.

That may be so but that's not what "who share a synergy with Anti-Venom" means in the pure sense of the sentence. Share a synergy means both benefit from it not that both have the same named synergy in their character profile. If that's what they meant they should have been explicit.

Other champs not even related to the symbiotes have a Family lvl 2 synergy eg mutants (colossus & magik). It's very ambiguous.

Seems to be it's a language thing once again. Kabam do this a lot - word things in a way they aren't commonly interpreted.

Practice on 3* Green Goblin. That's who I fought.

That's not true at all as it works against Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Punisher from what I've tested.
The only ones that don't work are the Family Synergy Members (Venompool, Venom The Duck, and Symbiote Spidey) leading theory as mentioned above is it's because the Higher Star Version of Anti-Venom lacks the Family Synergy.

That’s confusing as I think most people, like me, would look at Anti-Venom’s synergy section to pick out who he should fight. I got a win counted with Agent Venom boss in the side quest but didn’t count with Venompool via Duelling.
Can someone clarify whether we shouldn’t try to duel for this special objective and / or who we should fight in order to complete the objective.
Just tried practice with Green Goblin (as mentioned before) and it worked, so going to save some energy. So thanks LibertyPrimeV1

It seems very hit or miss, some people are having issues with some of the Working Champions like Green Goblin not counting in Duels while others do. Then some people doing Regular Quests say they All Work, so I'm not sure anymore... All I know is the Practice Fights seem to be the most consistent in "Unique Synergies work, the Family Synergies don't"

It may be because you met the requirements for the Agent Venom Objective, sometimes Objectives are weird about allowing 2 to be Completed at once.
Did you try against anyone else and have it continue to fail?

For the SP1 challenge, only the actual hits of the SP1 are allowed to KO for it to count – you may have noticed the hits doing additional red damage, which is not considered part of the Special 1.
