Help me choose my first Tech R3

Hi all -

Recently managed to form my first Tech R3. My 5* Tech roster is pretty stacked, but as much as possible want to bring some new capability with my first R3.

While I do have Guilly 2099, and I know in the hands of a great player she is the strongest option, I’m at best a mediocre player so maintaining her at a high hit count is a challenge, and frankly I find the mechanic of needing to end her fights with a S3 really annoying. I will R2 her for her utility when I can get some additional mats together, but don’t see taking her to R3 until I’m a better player.

Given this, I’m leaning pretty heavily towards Ultron or maybe Nimrod. Both are good options, but feel like Ultron has a bit of an edge as he hits a bit harder against non mutants as long as they bleed.

I also have a tech AG I could use on whoever I rank. Tempted to use it - particularly on Ultron - but will probably hold off until at least Friday in case Kabam does a AG upgrade option in the upgrade store.

People are really sleeping on this guy. He was my first R3 and I use him all the time. Best power control in the game, great damage, utility, regen. Pair him up with Cap IW and it's even better.

How significant is his signature ability? Have you used him in AQ? He's been on my bench for a while.

Thanks everyone. Very likely going to be Ultron based on the input. That said, I’m going to hold off on taking him immediately to R3 and play around with him and G2099 a bit more before pulling the trigger. Who knows, maybe I’ll pull Warlock or Penny in the next week or two which would probably cause me to re-think things.
