Do I rank up my voodoo

So recently my luck has skyrocketed and I have been lucky enough to pull a 5* voodoo and ÆGAN, thinking both of them have to be duped to use them I haven’t ranked up either. Would anyone let me know whether I should rank up voodoo? (I’m told ÆGAN is useless without his)
