Name change in the contest

Hey Kabam! My name is Teeya. I came out as transgender this year, and changed my name. As a result my account has my deadname in it. Its honestly not that big a deal for me to spend 275 units, thats like a weeks arena grind for me, but I’m just wondering why it isn’t free or of less cost to change your name? Thanks!

    I have no insight beside the speculation that excessive name changes complicate things for them, but I’m interested in hearing a response.

    Just to piggyback on the name change thing.

    If we redeem rewards from marvel insider thing, under a “Fred”. Then change that name to “Steve” before the rewards come in, will we still get them?

    They used to give you a free name change token do they not do that anymore? I used mine just to use it haha.

    I can only assume that each player is tracked on a unique ID rather than a name, so changing a name wouldn't affect anything.

    I would hope so. Everone should know not to use data like a username as the unique ID...but it happens.

    Don't be too concerned about them, the only piece of value that those insider deals had were the 3*s of the new champion, and even then that got outdated with the new arena changes.

    The fact that the name change tokens are out makes me think that that wouldn’t work
