CMM is overhyped (not bad but def not a top 3 cosmic), domino is overhyped (great damage, but she is only damage and there r so many mutants who can match her in that regard [and she ideally needs synergies to compete with other mutants]), Apocalypse (I have never won a match with him in meaningful content [I have also never pulled him as a 5 or 6* so that may be part of it ]).
I agree on CMM. I had the same opinion on Apoc as you. I knew he was good, but I didn't think he deserved the hype. Until I pulled him as a 5*. I have had a rule in my account to diversify my roster. If I max rank up a champ as a 5* then I won't R3 a 6* version and pick someone else to increase diversity. But Apoc was my first champ to make me break that rule. There have been a few others after that like warlock and g2099 since the tech class doesn't have a lot R3 worthy when you have limited catalyst (If you have a lot of T5b and T2a and gold to spare then there are others that are worthy). But Apoc man, He's Big Daddy for a reason, lol

Completely agree with CMM and Domino, but Apoc is just built different. When you do pull him as a 5 or 6* you will be enlightened
For me it's venom , silver Centurion and silver surfer .
Forget about overhyped, none of these 3 are even hyped in the community In fact Venom is probably underhyped compared to the hype he needs to have as a champion
This thread honestly lost validity when the OP said Venom was over hyped 😂 pretty much never seen anyone hyping him up and he’s GREAT, I’d argue he’s under hyped.
Fellas be overhyping the old characters that are not in the base pool. (Doctor strange, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Thor, etc. Along with IMIW, Mephisto, Taskmaster, Luke, tech Visions, X-23 and Wasp
Corvus Glaive. I cannot use him in act 7. If it is a immunity reason I need him, he will have his charges burnt quick and only having done small damage and all my immunities are gone until It comes back (long recharge). For AQ I agree he is good, but in story and other content he is handicapped compared to other champs. He is NOT comparable with CGR and Hyperion.
I believe “overhyped” are just champs that are just discussed in greater frequency? For example people talk about Hercules so much and Venom not nearly as much. This doesn’t make Hercules overhyped and surely doesn’t make Venom underhyped (is that a word?)
Overall, each person has a list of overhyped champs that are their rightful opinions. I rather don’t listen to what people think are super OP and stinky champs - I just form my own opinions and there is no one overhyped champion for me.
I believe it’s also skill level based with certain champs. I can see people saying Tigra is overhyped, but maybe her abilities and gameplay isn’t fully understood or appreciated by the person who states that. Then you play with her and learn her and are like “wow, she’s pretty good.”
Namor- he's basically useless if you don't have him at sig 200 even if you have him you're going to use him for on CMM- needs NF synergy and sig ability to be usable for some fights Guardian

Define "overhyped".
To me hype is the collective opinion that develops between a champ being announced and said champ being used.
For example, when Corvus and Prox were released, the hype was for Proxima and against Corvus.
When Surfer was announced, everyone lost their minds, but now he's a prestige pick only.
If by "overhyped" you mean champs that people use and claim are great but you disagree, then this is an invitation to endless debates using mostly opinions and no clear method for answering your question. But I would challenge this use of "overhyped" because after a champ is released, you either like or do not like them, and there is no hype.

What is he really "great" at ?
Also his debuffs are all really useless.
It was guardian all along
In fact Venom is probably underhyped compared to the hype he needs to have as a champion
Great utility
Great synergies
Great sustainability
Running out of greats to offer you.
After ramping up my Apoc in LoL or the Abyss with Stryfe on the team. Apoc‘s sp1 does 250k+ damage
Along with IMIW, Mephisto, Taskmaster, Luke, tech Visions, X-23 and Wasp

I believe it’s all individual perspective.
