Corvus, great champ, strange animations?

Don't get me wrong Corvus is one of my most used champs and in my opinion on of the best in the game with suicides. However the more i've used him the more I feel like his glaive is too long. His animations just feel "off" and "clunky" for lack of better terms :) Anyone else agree or am I just crazy?

    You’ll be thankful for his long glaive when you clip an opponent as they’re dashing away. Helped me far more than hurt so far.
