Cav Eq Sp3 zero damage

I am just wondering I looked for it and couldn’t find an answer. Are Sp3s in cav Eq not supposed to do damage? Because I have used several while 100% cav Eq this month and they did zero damage. It is very frustrating since their is no node or buff or debuff that should cause this.
