I'm new and need tips of incursions

Hello guys, I'm new to playing incursions and I would like some tips because I've seen people take down bosses and barely losing any health. For example in a boss fight you get poison but I've seen people regenerate health and I would like to know how to do it. I would like to know if I need suicides to play incursions or a certain type of mastery. Any tips would help.

Willpower is the mastery that allows you to heal when under the effect of a debuff. It's not necessary by any means and it's sure nice to have.
