Not sure if it's a bug or not but parry recovery time

So, I'm playing the war and sometimes when I parry a champion (Spiderman, Thor, Luke Cage, etc) they recover far quicker than usual so they hit me in the middle of me hitting them (or parry me back). Is this a glitch? And if not, how do I stop them from recovering so quickly?
