iPhone 13 bug

I upgraded to the iPhone 13 from an 8, and the sp button doesn’t register at the end of combos. I’ve tried M-LLLL and M-LLLM to sp 1 or 2. But my champ just stands there or it registers too late so that the defender is blocking my special. Then of course I’m open to a combo in retaliation. So really for any Legendary/Cavalier material is now unplayable.
I tried switching to 60Hz as I read in another post. Didn’t work. Is there a screen touch setting that affects this?
