    3* Iceman (NA)
    Iceman does not need to be awakened to be a sick champ whereas star lord does. The other champs are average and not as useful unless you use them for defence purposes in the case of YJ and miles. Iceman also has triple immunities (which cannot be said of any other champ) therefore making him great for many areas of the game such as against mephisto in the blade event or bleed/poison paths in AQ or an unexpected abomination in AW.
    He is also the only champ currently in the normal crystals that is immune to incinerate making him the only reliable choice in certain circumstances.

    Maxout any 3* and R3 every 4*. You can use this rule and you'll be not wrong.
    Of course, some champs are better than others.
    I would start with CapWWII and Iceman, then the rest. I think I'd not maxout Morales, it's very probable pull more worthy champs any day.

    I suggest you look at who your have already raised and where these guys fit in. I am big on synergy builds. And I prefer everyone to be the same rank on the squad...
