ROL Winter Soldier AI change?

Going through these new Carina Challenge ROL quests I'm finding that the Winter Soldier AI is WAY better than normal. He's backdraft intercepting, special intercepting, not dashing in so it's harder to parry, and backing me up into the corner when using 3* champs. Normally when I'm fighting him it's to test out a new 5 or 6* and the AI seems ALOT more passive, and willing to dash in instead of half dash, hold block, walk forward then quick light tap.

Am I crazy or is there something I'm missing with Challenger Rating that is supposed to make the AI act different when facing lower PI/rarity champs?

    Haven’t tried the challenges yet, maybe it’s time to git gud? Also move in AQ.

    I've seen no information that supports Challenge Rating altering the AI.
