Battlegrounds First Impressions (Not Complaining)

I was finally able to play a few matches of Battlegrounds. I'm only here to provide a few constructive thoughts. I wanted to adress some problems and some positive thoughts. I'm not going to complain about the servers and other issues because they are expected in a highly anticipated new game mode.
1. In one of the matches, the opponent made an error in selecting their attackers to my thing. He accidentally picked Doom. After the selection screen and before the matches began, he quit. I couldn't play, and lost my energy. There needs to be a remedy for this before the live release.
2. I was fighting Nick Fury with AA. I messed up and pushed him to SP3. He also just had his LMD so he was at full health. As the SP3 animation started, I realized I wouldn't survive it, so I quit the match thinking I would lose anyway. In the matchup screen, it looked like I timed out. With AA at 50% (health bar before eating sp3) and NF at 100%. The opponent lost the match but had taken off more health from my defender. But since I had 50% health, I won the matchup. The quitting seemed to not register as a KO. I didn't intend to do it but it seems like something that can be exploited if not fixed.
3. The 15 energy cost seems reasonable but it doesn't feel right to me. I would like to suggest that, this being a different game mode, it should have its own timer. Like AW and AQ, there should be another timer (I propose green as the color of the timer bar.) Since Kabam decided that 15 energy is the price, 1 battlegrounds energy could fill in 1.5 hours as it is the same amount of time for 15 energy. This would help separate this game mode from the rest of the game as it already has a very high bar to enter. You need 30+ champs at a reasonable rank both attackers and defenders. They also have their own timers (which is 99 energy right now but I'm guessing it will be lowered.)
Personally, I play MCOC as long as I have energy. I login few times a day to spend my energy. If Kabam wants to keep people playing their game more, this new energy timer would incentivise that. I would now spend AQ, AW, Quest and BG energy. Concisely, separate Quest energy and BG energy to make the game mode more accesible.
TL;DR: Opponent exiting match-up shouldn't cost you energy. Quitting an individual match lets you win it and there should be a new energy timer for Battlegrounds.
Feel free to share constructive your thoughts on the new game mode. And lets not talk about the servers for once .
