Kitty prowess in battlegrounds

Hey guys, hope I can get help on this interaction in BGs. I was fighting kitty using ibom and she was not losing her prowess after throwing specials. is there an interaction with ibom or current nodes in BGs that make her not lose prowess?

i've noticed that she loses her prowess as a defender when her special attack makes contact with me, but she doesn't lose it when it doesn't make contact with me

I finally learn to dex her sp1 and I get punished for it, lol
