How Much More For Battlegrounds To Be The Worst Addition To This Game?

Battlegrounds. A new kind of game mode that is supposed to bring something completely different yet enjoyable to this game. Apparently a good number of people were already starting to leave due to control and ai issues, or just found no more pleasure in playing mcoc after some more content and resources being available to benefit paying players.
I played battlegrounds a bit and actually won a good amount of matches. Lost one or two due to being disconnected but I would equally be "made up" for this by rechallenging the people in which I had lost the match due to being disconnected and then winning again (I don't know how directly after losing a match like that I get requeued with those same people)
However, once I got to the point of coming close to the bare foot of the higher leagues (I was nearing 1700 after playing only a few matches, and even then my account is cavalier but not even close to being considered stacked in my perspective), things got really frustrating to the point of pulling out my hair to how stupid it was. I got queued for matches 9 times more and lost 8 times. Now during the first few fight I was thinking maybe I was just lacking skill against higher stacked thronebreaker opponents. But in many of my fights I got disconnected for no reason, and no matter if I was ahead on points in the first round, it would still give me the loss.
And then there's the ai. Somehow this ai plays shadily to the point where I would lose health in the dumbest ways possible and thus lose the round and subsequently the match. I just needed four more wins to get the max milestone for the pic, and then this game just decides not to give it to me.
In the vid I was going up against terrax by an uncollected player. I initially thought it could be an easy win to recuperate those points and get points towards the milestone as well, but boy was I wrong. The first round was my Claire against his duped dragon man. Nullified his power gain, tried spamming heavies, and then out of nowhere he does a heavy and dashes forward while doing it giving him the unblockable. While he's passive and holding block I dash back and try to heavy and dash back repeatedly to get to sp3 and just when I do another heavy while I'm a distance away he throws sp1. Sp1 combos me into the corner and then he straight up 5 comboes me into oblivion. I'm like wtf was that behavior because that was legit the dumbest dragon man match I've ever seen. I've even faced the dragon man in cav event quests and have had 0 difficulty in countering him- always he never behaved like that. I was suspicious and then recorded my next fight with terrax and sure enough, the ai "happened" to intercept good and then my controls just stop working when he dashes or throws a special. Same thing with my other losses, where the ai would just do that and then intercept you with a basic combo or special when you would be spamming the special button as they dash towards you.
This will probably fall on deaf ears since the ai problem has been around for centuries, but I am so frustrated. This game is preventing me from getting that final reward with the profile pic seemingly intentionally and ive practically given up on mcoc.
