It depends on how you use her. If you're good enough to dex and evade without ever parrying the opponent, then no. It's a completely useless ability under those circumstances.

However, if you're more like me and you rely on evade and parry, then it's a valuable piece of utility. It makes you able to withstand a lot more chip damage. Since you're mostly blocking attacks in the corner, I found it to be worthwhile. I never regretted awakening her with a gem and dumping a bunch of sig stones into her.
