Still waiting for an update on pure skill mastery. This is somewhat comical at this point, but, as someone who has this mastery unlocked, I request an update.

It's truly incredible what this company manages to pull.
Yes. especially if you use your own money (units). To me, it's a bit deceiving on their side. It just shows you why lot of people have little respect for them.
Yeah man, by the looks of it, It'll probably be fixed by 18.0 or even farther than that as this company is actually planning to run this perfect game up to 2025 lol, gotta have that game breaking bug when 16.0 drops before fixing other things. Am I right? :')

IF Miike's description of how PS works is correct, for most champs, PS doesn't work at all. Crit hit intrinsic armor ignore + armor ignore from r1 Pierce (required to unlock cruelty and precision) already ignore all armor before PS is applied
Could be just me, but more and more it seems these forums are utilized more as a "containment venue" than it is for player discussion and collaboration with Kabam for the betterment of the game. One of my personal theories as to why so many new "challenges" and events keep rolling out is that it helps to somewhat pacify the lashback against bugs, mistakes and contradicting statements/actions.
Hard to argue against the fact that a majority of players get new content to try and complete for rewards leaves them distracted with less time to express dissatisfaction which could organize into something too big to ignore.
I must add that this is true for any rank of PS, not just rank 4 and 5
Since 12.0 armor rating introduction both pierce and pure skill are useless. Just try without them and damagr is only 20 points less. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!!!
I spend 4500 units for this mastery. It cost as much as willpower. We got a 5 star crystals due to the willpower nerf. For this we got nothing by closed threads and silencing the community that invest in this gsme time and money.
Really kabam!!! This is why people are quiting this game in masses. Dont you see the empty no alliance accounts. Dont you see the accounts that havent log in in 200 days. Dont you see the people like me that quit competitive play due to the fact that instead of addressing this mastery issue you try to put a bandaid like we are not smart. We are very inteligent and know everything that secretely happens in the game.
Address this issue once for all and stop playing with our hard earn money and precious time. We deserve some respect.
It's obvious nothing is going to be done about it, every now then a post will come saying it still works great but we're still looking into it, probably the same team who are still looking at the doc strange data

If you want 20 points more in damage no. Total waste mate. Both pierce and pure skill were nerfed with the introduction of 12.0 flat values and armor rating. Put those points in courage or the two fury masteries or glass cannon.
So apparently I missed that this hit the pierce mastery as well - as someone who had PS at 4/5 (moved elsewhere) but has pierce currently maxed out, do you remember if there was a thread or post that had some hard data on pierce? I know its a shot in the dark but apparently that screw-up affecting pierce went right over my head.

I tested the mastery myself with or without the difference is extremely small. It only works on armor up champs I think. It has been mentioned multiple times. Pre 12.0 my rank 4 BW would do 8000 on sp2 with no suicides. Now she is anemic with barely hitting 4000 damage sometimes. That damage was possible due to maxed pure skill and maxed pierce. Not anymore
Can you imagine buying a car and a month later it goes from a V8 to a 4 cylinder and your requests for answers and accommodation are ignored, tickets closed and online discussions locked down?
I mean it’s 4500 units....that’s a lot to just disregard.

Sorry for the slow response on this. Pure Skill is still something that we are looking at. It's a tricky situation that we're in, because Pure Skill IS still working, and is in fact MORE effective than it was before 12.0, but for most cases, it's about as effective as it's going to be at Rank 3. Please don't spread misinformation about it not working at all.
At Rank 3, it's basically able to ignore 100% of the armor on most Champions (except Hulkbuster). After that it's really only added effect is against some super buffed Champs (like those found in LOL). We have some plans that we're going through, and which routes we can take, but we're not sure yet.
We're getting closer, and I totally realize it's been quite some time that this has been an issue for you all, and I am very sorry about that. It's not like we've let it fall off the radar, it's just taking longer than we would have hoped.
We'll update you all as soon as we have more information.
