Aegon Persistent Assault Calculation Incorrect

So I have a fully maxed out Aegon 5 star; 75% of final combo meter persists. On multiple occasions, the persistent combo meter is short. Easiest math: I finished a fight with a single combo, 40 hits - and started the next fight with 25.

    You probably used a special attack right as the opponent was knocked out. Any hits that occur after the opponent is knocked out do not count in the calculation
