Hyperion advice

So I’m coming up on the kang fight (7.3.6) and want to use Hyperion.

Currently I have him as a 5 star and 6 star.

5 star is rank 4 and awakened 117
6 star is rank 1 unawakened.

However, I do have a generic awakening gem and 1-2 rank up to use

Should I rank up the 5 star or awaken and rank the 6 star?

Note I have not fought 7.3.6 Kang but would most definitely consider using a generic AG on Hyperion. He only needs to be awakened, not high sig. Go with the 6*.

Why just Hyperion? What other champs do you have for Kang? Also, if you are lock on using Hyperion, I would R5 the 5* . Save your 6* generic AG. FWIW, I used 5* Ultron with HB synergy against Kang in alt account.

had planned to do that fight this weekend also focusing on using Hype. I'm curious to hear ur results

A generic AG is valuable and hard to get, so be judicious with how you use it.

The 7.3.6 Kang is a good use of Hyperion especially in his last phase. A 5/65 Hype would work better than a 6s rank 1, IMO.

This was my thinking as well. However I can bring the 6 star to rank 2 and I hate upgrading 5 stars now if there’s a 6 available.

Plus it may add some addition down the line with the six star rank.

From your roster, you have several other options. Don’t understand this fascination that you must use Hyperion for kang. I will use r3 fury, apoc and cgr before a r2 Hyperion imo.

If this only for completion, you don’t need any rank up or awaken to do it.

If you're going for initial completion I don't think it's a smart choice to use a generic AG on Hyperion just for that purpose. He's not a bad champ by any means but it's just this one fight that you haven't even attempt (guessing). You have other good options and if anything use boost on yours 5star Hyperion to raise his numbers up. Also keep in mind you get an class AG after completion, how would you feel if you pull a cosmic AG after using the generic on Hyperion?

Used my 6* R3 Hype on that Kang and he worked very well. Just heavy and L1 spam during the wounded phase and he melts. Think in phase 3 it only took one wounded phase. I think he’s worth a generic, but he’s also my favorite champ. Im obviously a little biased. Dup is definitely very important for him. End of the day I don’t think he’s needed for that Kang lots of champs are good for him and I wouldn’t suggest anyone drop a gem on a champ they don’t have a personal opinion on. People would say Ghost is great use of a AG and I hate her. I’d suggest you use Hype a bit and form your own opinion if you have the time. He’d be my top choice for the gem but objectively he’s has to be a top 20 choice for the gem.
