Weird rank up predicament

How do I use a generic rank up I have in overflow and not a class rank up gem? I don't want to level anyone, but forced to due to inventory.

I go to rank up the champ and it only allows me to use a class gem.

When I do this, it gives a "rank up champion" button. I click it and it takes me to all my champions, 1 to 6*. It doesn't bring up champs like an ag dupe token.

I think you can contact support about it. If you can wait until v35, which I'm assuming is the new update dropping next week, they said the option to choose which rank up gem to use was being implemented.
