Act 6 Variant Difficulty After The Upcoming Nerfs(Concept)

This is something that I've been thinking about for a while, and the nerf announcement kicked it into overdrive. What if Kabam added a variant difficulty to story content that had been changed, and that difficulty had buffed rewards. For example, 6.2 Champion boss has been nerfed twice now. In this new mode he would be back to his original state. All opponents would have slightly higher stats than originally(think act 7 levels), the original nodes, and potentially some added nodes on easier bosses(6.1 Ghost and Loki come to mind). Rewards would also get a decent increase, around act 7 levels proportionally, so 6.1 Variant would have similar rewards to 7.1, etc etc. This would put the game in a great position down the line as well, as we progress to act 9 we could get act 7 variants, and the game would have infinite options for new content. Opinions?

Kang from Act 2, Thanos from Act 3, Maestro and maybe Venom from Act 4, Collector and Ultron from Act 5, nerf and Grandmaster from Act 6, etc.
However, I would love something like a Vault of Legends where previously nerfed bosses are gathered in their original state for players to test their mettle against if they're willing. I don't really care if there are any rewards tied to beating them all, it would just be fun to try. By the time I beat The Champion in 6.2, he had already been nerfed once so I never had the original experience. Similarly, it would be kind of fun to try out the pre-nerf Variant 8 Venompool. I understand why he had to be changed but he's a little pussycat nowadays as long as you have a good counter.
