I tried EOP week5 Dormammu fight with Tigra. However Tigra can't get that placebo buff at all. I'm not sure if I missed any pre-requirements.

BTW, Tigra is super efficient against Ikaris and Blade. She could have cleared Dormammu easy as well.

Neutralize prevents him from placing the placebo buffs on you

As described here, https://playcontestofchampions.com/news/champion-spotlight-tigra/. While the Opponent is Neutralized, if they fail to gain a Buff through Chance, inflict Rupture, dealing 132 Physical Damage over 1 second(s). Cooldown 1 second(s)

I thought neutralize only prevents opponent gaining buff on himself. How does that affect on Tigra? Is that supposed to be designed like this?

Neutralize doesn’t say “reduces chance of opponent to gain buffs by 100%”

It says “reduces ability accuracy of buffs by 100%”

The node is giving you the buffs, and nodes are considered defender abilities. Therefore, dormmamu is granting you the buffs. It works the same way as Ebony Maw’s SP1. If Ebony Maw has a neutralize on him when using the SP1, he won’t apply that fury to you because the chance to do that comes from his abilities. Even if a node or defender ability appears to be beneficial to the attacker, it’s still affected by your AAR.

In short, this is working as intended.

Cool! Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know this before.
