Tactic Updates

New Tactic Rotation for Expert Map

Going into Season 35, we will see no changes for the Expert Map. Miss-tic Dispersion and Defiant will be around for one more season!

Conduit - New Tactic for Challenger Map

Conduit will be a bit different than tactics in the past with some larger differences between levels 1, 2 and 3.

Conduit 1+2:

Conduit Defenders Regenerate {1}% of energy Damage taken from Hits. While under the effect of a Coldsnap, Shock, Plasma, or Incinerate effect, they Regenerate {0}% of any damage Taken. Conduit Defenders cannot have their Regeneration Rate affected.

Conduit 3:

Conduit Defenders Regenerate {1}% of energy Damage taken from Hits. While under the effect of a Coldsnap, Shock, Plasma, or Incinerate effect, they Regenerate {0}% of any damage taken. Conduit Defenders cannot have their Regeneration Rate affected. Each time the Defender is Knocked Down apply one of the following debuffs in order: Shock, Plasma, Coldsnap, then Incinerate Debuff dealing 0 Damage over {2} Seconds.

Bans 2.0!

Bans 2.0 are going to be coming to the contest in season 36, but we want to make sure to let you all know about them early!

With this new version of Bans we will be introducing Blacklist and Whitelisting of Champions based on how often they are getting banned. With Bans 2.0, the highest banned champions will be put on the Blacklist for the following season and will be unavailable for use by players where Blacklist is active. As an example, if Human Torch is the most banned champion of Season 35, he will be Blacklisted in Season 36, being out of the pool of usable champions for the duration of the Season.

Along with the Blacklist comes a Whitelist as well! After spending a season on the Blacklist, champions will then be Whitelisted and be ban IMMUNE. If Human Torch was Blacklisted for the duration of Season 36, in Season 37 he will be Whitelisted and totally immune to banning for the duration of the season. After one Season in the Whitelist they will return to the regular pool.

Expert and Challenger Maps will continue to have 3 bans as they did previously, but will have additional champs included in the Bans 2.0 System.

Expert will have 2 Champions in the Black/White list.

Challenger will have 1 Champion in the Black/White list.

Node Changes

For Season 35, we have no node changes. We’ll be focusing on some bigger updates for Season 36 and beyond.

EDIT: Answers to some FAQ

  • Bans will begin in Season 36 and will use data based from season 35
  • Bans are global and all alliances will have the same banned champs
  • Specific blacklists will be divided by map rather than tier
  • Expert map will receive 2 each season for a total of 5 bans; challenger gets 1 for a total of 4
  • These are still attacker bans, should not affect defense
  • The number of bans in each tier, both Blacklist/whitelist as well as the current 3-per war bans will be subject to review and the number of each may change in future updates.
