Is Doom still the best grandmaster counter?

Thanks to all those energy refills and the energy reduction for Act 6, I’m almost finished with 100% Act 6. I’m just have 5 paths left for 6.4.4 and I was wondering if Doom is still the best counter? I have him as r3 and r5, and I have Prof X for the reverse controls. I have almost every champion as a 5 or 6 star, and can rank up anyone to max if needed. I was wondering if Hercules or another new character is better, or a synergy team (there are so many now I can’t keep them all straight). I’ve attached the top of my roster as well.

    Not sure about the best but he's definetly excellent.
    I think Herc is better for it, Aegon a good choice too.

    Thanks. I hate ramping up Aegon so that won't happen, but I'll take Herc for a whirl and see.
