Before you disregard the idea or proposal just from the title, can you at least here me out.
I really like this champion design, the idea behind her is excellent. There’s is some risk to playing her which is kind of true to the character but I’m proposing that her kit is somehow tweaked to fit the current state of the game. This is what I mean:
- The controls or input are not what they used to be. Our timing as been messed up and very inconsistent, many times I (and I’m sure many) have to rely on reparry to successfully land a parry. And personally, I have accepted the controls won’t go back what it used to be, be fixed or made better. Kabam you can’t even deny this. This is my new normal and I’m okay with it, there’s nothing I can do. As such, her interactions with the unblockable buff in my opinion needs a revisit and be adjusted. Landing something as basic and simple as parry isn’t safe anymore nor simple, it’s inconsistent. I don’t think her design took into consideration the struggle many of us are going through now.
- We acquired her by spending money, I am one of them. (I’m aware of the arena but I feel their number is insignificant so generalizing is okay) It feels a bit sad not being able to enjoy her as much as I want to because of this unblockable buff interaction with controls. Other champs don’t have to deal with this. If you fail a parry (not well-timed) not because of error on you part but control or timing issues you’re not punished. You can try again. With her that’s not the case. We were supposed to be punished for failure on our part and not timing/control error.
- Lastly, she doesn’t need to give opponents the unblockable buff to check the risky box in her design. She already gives opponent other buffs like a fury and prowess, a mistake can cause you the attacker big time if you’re hit or fail to evade a special.
Kabam, can you at least discuss this amongst yourself to see if any of the points here holds.
Thanks!
