Map 8 crystals obsolete

Map 8 crystals should have been the introductory of r4 materials. Now 8-9 months since map 8s release we have these outdated map crystals for high end TB/Paragon players. Truthfully, I stopped opening them around January now I pop them for t5bc.
Will we have to wait for map 9 crystals to see a trinket of rank 4 materials? Will be get a map 8 crystal update?
I enjoy alliance quests but would like to earn materials I need in my map crystals.
