Why does Falcon not prevent miss vs Maw AW

So I’ve had it in two wars now, there is no improved ability accuracy on the nodes, a falter was applied while I was locked on, nether of us were in assassins range (I don’t run that mastery normally anyway)

I also have the defiance tactic activated, but the miss came from Maw’s focus mechanic, not an expiring buff.

I don’t have a video Of the fight as I don’t screen record most fights.

Surely there is something I am missing.

OK, had my alliance mates explain that the miss occurs as the falter has already been applied. The AAR would prevent the falter being applied if you are attacking at the time.

Kabam logic, I often don’t understand it.

For future reference: Falcon reduces Defensive Ability Accuracy by 100%, so any ability that will activate when Falcon hits an opponent (evade, damage reflection, debuff on hit like biohazard, effect on hit like rock stack, etc.) has its chance reduced to 0%, hence it won't activate. It will still activate if there's a node that will increase the defensive ability accuracy of the opponent or nodes like Force of Will.

Falter, on the otherhand, is a different mechanic since the debuff is applied to you. You're not activating the miss when you're hitting ebony maw. You are missing because you're suffering from a falter debuff.
