Cap IW in Act 6.3.6 destructive feedback bug?

StrategicStrategic Member Posts: 632 ★★★
So I'm on a mission to 100% act 6 (7 is 100% already) and only have Cap map to 100% C3 and I just used Ghost and hit him with an L2 while destructive feedback shield was still on thinking once the shield is off he will take the damage only to find out that he didn't take the damage!
Just FYI I was phased and unblockable and didn't block him after with the shield on cause I'd be dead from the reflection.
Any reason why that would happen? cause I'm pretty sure he's still supposed to take the damage if I'm not blocking him while the shield is up.

Do not attack CAP IW when destructive feedback is activated wait till it goes on cooldown

Cap only takes damage from crit attacks (yellow). When destructive feedback timer expires, it’s triggered as direct damage, and you can see that when you do it in any other fight it’s red.

Once you crit him during the shield, your crit damage is stored and it’s not crit damage anymore, it’s just future direct damage, so once the timer expires, Cap takes no damage because it’s not a crit.

Not a bug. He only takes damage from crits and destructive feedback damage isn’t critical

I see. Makes it much more annoying now as if it wasn't already. I miss the old Cap cheese lol.

Well I guess it's a matter of how much I can avoid chip damage with all the furies than. Might have to land a few hits anyway to manage that.

So why do I take the reflected damage when I hit him when the shield is on and then block him?
If he doesn't take any damage it shouldn't reflect back at me right?

Because you can take direct damage.

When it’s stored, it’s stored as direct damage. When that tries to apply it as direct damage to cap, he can’t take it because he only takes damage from crits.

When he tries to apply it to you, when you block a hit, you take the damage because you can take damage from crits, direct damage, everything.

No, you take damage because it still stores the damage and can give it back to you, it just won't do any damage to cap because, you guessed it, it isn't critical.

I see thanks for the clarification!
