Energy cap issue

So I was playing some EQ and noticed I had an expiring full energy refill. I played for a bit and used a full refill so I could claim the expiring one. But when I used the refill, my starting energy was somewhere in the 50’s, but energy capped off at 70, not my current energy plus the 70 from the full refill. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I just late on this?
