Gifting Event GONE = Leaving game?

With the news today that the Gifting Event is gone and Greater Gifting Crystals are never coming back, will you play mcoc as much or now quit entirely?

As long as they provide some other ways to acquire weapon X, I don't care if the GGCs go away.

They said that they're planning to replace it with something that should still give the same kind of Rewards so as long as the trophy Champs are still available, they can do whatever they want with it and plus I don't know about you but last few years, I got sick and tired of hearing all of those arguments and conspiracies when some top-tier Alliance didn't win first place over another top tier Alliance.

I’m not engaging in alt account stuffs and thus I’m not quite affected. The only impact is I never got Thanos/Kang/WeaponX in any star but I think Kabam will create another crystal at that moment. So, just playing as usual.

I've never cared about the gifting event, because I've never saved units for it, and mostly I only opened less then 10 crystals every year..... So it's not a problem for me

I’ll no longer buy unit deals with my primary account either. That’s probably pushing double that.

Your $1,000 a year versus the MILLIONS in Lost Revenue because of Black Markets deals last year...

It’s amazing when people decide to just take Kabam’s narrative hook, line, and sinker.

Money spent on the black market for 65-80% discounts is not going to be spent on Kabam at full price, just like I wasn’t ever gonna be buying the CDs I downloaded off Napster in 1999.

And this year’s gifting event is sorely lacking something that every other event had - exclusivity. R5 mats won’t be released. R4 mats come out in EQ/SQ, story content, and static content like Gauntlet. I can get awakening gems on Cyber Weekend and from the loyalty store. And the mega whales have the vast majority of 6-stars already, with crystals offering no means of reducing the bloated champion pool.

Never really traded gifting crystals during gifting..last year i was taking a break,the year before i traded revives to knock out abyss completion and some more content,the year before i traded carbonadium cores to unlock suicides and i would trade revives this year too since it seems like consumables are still going to be giftable

Pretty sure the ones quitting are the ones who grind out all day on their alts and then sell GGCs for discounted price

This to me is just like when old people threaten to take take their business elsewhere and tell their friends about it. While it may seem like they are sticking it to the business in the moment, it’s ultimately meaningless and doesn’t carry the weight they think it does. Your $1000 a year ain’t gunna cripple them.

Well since none of the money from any of that stuff goes to Kabam directly, I'm sure they can continue with their Starbucks and not have to worry.

No sense in leaving the game just because they canceled a short event. Then again I’m not the person who grinds dozens of alts

i think it was a great move by kabam, idk about yall but in my country, the amount of scammers are huge, its been long overdue they finally found a way to end that kind of behavior
