The game is a marathon - not a sprint.
It isn't intended that on the day a new champ comes out around 100 people get him, max-Sig him and bring him to R4.

This would be like Lego but already built when you open the box. Not that fun.

And to be honest. Everything beyond Map6 (and I played it) is just for confidence. The resources you spent for more rewards don't fit at all.
It's like Map6 with an prestige around 13k and MMMEE-Mods gives you 500M and what more do you get for full Map8? For first place 1.1k Glory? If you have to use 4 Healpots the glory is gone.
That few Map8 Crystals? Yay (not)!

At place 1 for one round you get 4% of R4 Material what you get from one EoP round. So for what you'll get from EoP (R4-Material) in one year (4 times) you'll have to play over 800 days of AQ (Rank1) - this is 2.2 years...

Map8 and the run for the top is an illusion created to addicted people. It's like gambling in Las Vegas, you play hours and hours In arena for the BC and Gold for the tickets, because you need the units for new Champs and Loyalty is not used anymore because of the store which made AW nonsense, too...

Don't fall for that illusion. Be happy when you get a new top champ, although when it's months after his release.

    Solution to the "prestige problem":

rather than just reward players for getting lucky / spending a lot and acquiring certain champions and ranking them up... actually make them use the champions.

Why should Silver Surfer be #1 (soon number 2) if very few people regularly use him. Doom... Sure. Herc... of course... but your "prestige score" shouldn't be based on your roster, but who you actually bring to AQ.

With the lane nodes, there would have to actually be strategy involved to maximize prestige while minimizing cost and playing well. I doubt every team can be done by Infamous Iron Man, Surfer, and Doom. Many people will choose to bring in their Herc, or other great champs/synergy champs... which will lower their prestige / get them less than max points.

There isn't a prestige problem. I know this is a crazy idea, but you could just lower your expectations of where you want to be placed in AQ if you don't want to continually chase prestige.

It creates the same problem you're trying to solve right now. Map 8 has 1 variation and no modifiers. All the lanes are the same everyone in the top 10-15 alliances probably have every single champ needed for highest prestige. At least in the top 5.

Everyone has all the same champs so if your idea was implemented, they're all just going to run the same paths with the same champs as all the other alliances.
