Battleground : always the same player

Is it normal to come across the SAME player 3 times in a row? I'm gold 3, he's gold 2. Three games in a row that's him. What's this ? Gold Boss 3? Is he the only one who makes battlefields?

There won’t be many players to choose from, so currently he’s the only one in your reach that’s queuing up matches.

I've had a few back-to-back matches but not three in a row.

I had 5 in a row. Its kinda absurd. Then again no one is playing it

I believe you are restricted to facing someone within your specific Bracket. If you both are queuing up immediately back to back, I can see it happening, especially if you have made significant progress on the Victory Track yet are still not in the Gladiator's Circuit.
