Not sure I understand the question, but the story of that event quest was about Jean becoming Phoenix and then Dark Phoenix. She was a boss as Jean Grey, Phoenix and Dark Phoenix, but only ever released playable as Phoenix. The Phoenix in the story died at the end, providing the catalyst for the creation of one of the Battlerealm Infinity stones Thanos used. A second Phoenix appeared in a later story and was confirmed as being an alternate version.
