Magneto's awakened ability

masacre vs magneto in arena I threw my sp2 into magnetos block and the damage of the first hit exceeded his awakened ability damage cap
Can I get an explanation for what happened?

    Did you have any debuffs on him? Masacre cuts ability accuracy of blocking opponents when they have debuffs on them. Disorient also cuts ability accuracy. Mags' safeguard could be affected.
    No debuffs
    Got hit on purpose to get to sp2 and end the fight but I wasn't expecting it to end with only one hit

    Did you have any debuffs on him? Masacre cuts ability accuracy of blocking opponents when they have debuffs on them. Disorient also cuts ability accuracy. Mags' safeguard could be affected.
    No debuffs
    Got hit on purpose to get to sp2 and end the fight but I wasn't expecting it to end with only one hit
    He didn't have suicides?
