Hyperion Regenerate Question

I recently got 5* Hyperion. I heard good things about him. I took him up to r2. I was testing him out on few different paths. How or what am I doing that allows him to regenerate like crazy? He was down to 12% and skyrocketed up to 85%. His power gain kept going wild too. I’d use SP1, then immediately it was there again. Is there some trick to his regen? I’m new to him, but he’s regenerating every fight and his power gain is awesome. Thanks for feedback.

When you get 3 of the atomic symbols and dash back and hold, you'll see a gray timer. Once that expires, you gain a regeneration buff.
