So what's up with Elder Marks?

I know I'm probably late in regard to this particular issue, but what happened to the elder marks people previously had? Like personally, I bought a few with my units to be able to participate in the solo event and now they're all gone. Like I had bought 850 and only maybe used about 150 (around like 1-2 weeks ago) and now when I tried to match I noticed I couldn't because I have 0 elder marks.
I saw originally Kabam (Jax specifically) had said elder marks will carry over battlegrounds season to battlegrounds season, but like a) the season hasn't ended, and b) they were suppose to be here to stay, so what's up? I know they probably haven't and won't, but like its better to ask just in case... Has Kabam said whether or not they'll give people back their elder marks or the units they bought them with?
