BG bug or modding?

Don't know if this is a Kabam thing or a modder thing...but when I am to pick my team first during BG, the game automatically picks it for me. It's happened to me a fee times already.
Only reason why I wonder if it's a modder thing is because the last dude I fought modded. I don't know much about modding because that's not me...however it's a thing that needs to be acknowledged
