Different approach toward 7*

The 7* announcement was not received well and it shows. The spectrum goes from im quitting to meh idk anymore to heck bring on that 7* drax. And everything in between.

But what if it was different?
What if 7* would be an exclusive group of champions. Champions that ONLY come in that rarity.
With their own abilities, new mechanics, heck even a 2nd sig ability.

Wouldn't that be more appealing?

Never use the hair-on-fire reactions on this forum as any indication of the overall player community's feeling toward some change in the game.

7 stars are a natural progression of the game that everyone was expecting and won't truly impact anything in the game for more than a year from now, and even then I cannot see it mattering to 90 percent of players for at least another year, if not more. I mean, if someone in 4LOKI or whatever gets a 7 star Hercules, I don't think most of us will need to worry much about it.

The RNG will not go away just so we can get the 7 stars we want. This is no different than when they added 6 star champs, in terms of our crystal luck. You just gotta hope the RNGenie is smiling.

Anyway, I know my first 7 star will be one of the Cyclops. They haunt my crystal pulls. I am excited nonetheless.

That sounds like a viable approach until you actually implement it. I saw that in another game (Marvel Puzzle Quest) and yeah, at first they introduced champions like Silver Surfer and whatnot, and they definitely fit into that "only the strongest" bracket. But eventually, the 7* equivalent in that game just became what 6*s are in MCOC: the main champions that most (at least endgame) players use. As such, every type of character eventually came out as a 7* despite the earlier promise to keep it exclusively for champions on a cosmic power-level. They added Hawkeye and a couple of Black Widows a while back, for example. Not really comparable to Silver Surfer, Knull, Thanos etc.

I don't think Kabam needs to do anything specific with 7*s to appease players. I just think they need to introduce them in a good way. The introduction of 6*s was horrible (from what I've understood) and I'm sure Kabam is keen to not repeat that mistake. If Ascension works as I think it will, I believe they might have solved the issue or at least put enough of a bandaid on it for it to work.

Everyone who is upset about 7* must have not played the transition between 4-5 and 5-6.. its not as dramatic...
Also.. OP suggests a good pool of 7* ... Well that wouldnt make any money to a profi company would it?.. a 2nd signature... How many max sig 6* do u have AFTER they have been available for over 3 years?..

U think i was happy when my first 6* was King Groot? And in talking about years before the buff?.. and second one was Vulture... But it was fine... Cause 5* were still relevant...
Am i concerned about profits for Kabam?.. no not really.. I just happen to be realistic...why do u think the wish crystal issue was never talked again?..
