Could we get a "vacation mode" added to the game so people aren't kicked from allies?

One annoying issue about MCOC is that it demands your time.. IE if you want to be part of an ally you have to take part in AQ and AW.....
Well life happens. People get sick, go on vacation, family member dies, etc etc.... keeping us from the game.
Here lies the problem. In the current meta (as its always been) if you go "AWOL" for a few days.. your ally will kick you. But what if they didn't have to?
My suggestion... a vacation mode... IE a players account could be put in sort of "freeze mode" within their ally. This would allow that account to remain in the group, yet also allow the ally to add a temp replacement while they are away.
Pros? Solves one of the biggest headaches in game history.... Lets "retired" players dip their toes back in as the temps if they want to be.... stops allies from wondering "what happened to X person?" and let's them act without having to cut them off completely.
Cons? I could see this creating a new merc black market and be exploited negatively (IE high end players quitting their allies then selling their "help" for lower tier groups trying to move up in war)

It's just a feature that's truly not worth doing.
Seems like this feature could be ripe for abuse.
Each Bg has diversity points for placing defense... Are u supposed to give them a vacation pass and forget diversity points
And most alliances do diversity at the beginning of a season not on the fly...
