Upcoming AQ changes are not enough.
Sigh. I'm super disappointed. And it's not a question of never being happy. But these changes are a nothing burger to my alli. Actually they can potentially make managing AQ harder, not easier.
My alli does map 6 and 5. The links honestly never held us up. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're gone coz it will make takedowns easier. And I understand smallers allis than mine would be waiting around for them to go before attacking. So cool. No more links.
My disappointment comes from expecting more. Something that would realistically make AQ less of a burden, coz it will always be a chore - changing nodes or defenders won't make it fresh nor fun. But at least Kabam should make it less long so that we don't feel like our souls are draining away every time we remember AQ is about to restart.
A few ways to do that have been repeated ad infinitum:
Make it a 3 days series. Make it run during the week only. Add more starting energy. Remove a couple more lanes. Make the next day autostart once you 100% your map.
I mean.. even one single solitary of those things in today's announcement and I'm sure thousands of us would feel like something had truly be done in our favour.
This added paid energy is ok - if it was a bonus. Honestly nobody in my alli is gonna pay glory for 2 extra energy lol Let alone units. But maybe this is made for map 8 whales.
From my humble map 6 and 5 perspective tho, the negative impact I can very clearly see this having is this: more time having to urge, beg ppl to join and move. The links (tho I wasnt a fan of them) at least gave players the responsibility to turn up and do a job. Ppl tried to go further. Trust me, I don't believe that was healthy btw. But now there is no hurry, right? Nobody is holding anybody up. But the map still needs to be cleared and it will be up to officers everywhere to be pushing more than before for participation.
It's why something else is seriously needed. An actual huge leg up the map. At a time where more and more ppl are giving up AQ entirely on top of it all...
