Battleground Fight damage from fight not recorded in round stats (so lost fight)

Playing Battlegrounds. 1 win, 1 loss. Third fight get the defender down to 2% when he takes me out (misjudged he would get to do special 3)
However I’m confident I will win overall as I have my top champ as a defender and he didn’t have a particular good attacker for it.
He only does just over 20% damage to my defender… but I lose.
I look at the stats and it said I hadn’t landed a single hit and that his defender still had 100% health.
I don’t know if this is a bug, or Wi-Fi dropout awarding him the fight (my Wi-Fi is usually pretty stable).
If the former, the damage didn’t register/get recorded ending in a loss. If the latter some kind of drop out notification would be ideal (like in quests)
