Special attack after 5 combo ending with medium attack

Sometimes the opponent is blocking the special attack after 5 combo ending with medium attack. Is this happening to someone else?

    It happens more and more as you advance in the game. I had a lot of trouble with it when I started Act 4. I worked on my timing and got better. There is a window to pull off the special, it just takes more skill as the enemies get harder.

    Work on activating after 4 combo. Easier to land the special.

    Never have a problem with it. Might miss one or two a week. Ran a bunch of paths in 5.3 this the last couple days and only had it happen once. I'm pretty sure it is the operator not the game when it happens to me. I suspect it's the same with you.

    I did feel the same, i.e. harder to pull off SP after 5 combos. However, actually it can still be pulled off, but we really had to do it very quickly to intercept the very narrow windows. Nowadays I also prefer to active SP after 4 combo, like what @Bapoi mentioned, that way I didn't need to put too much attention (else very tiring if I need to play so many fights on events and arena grinding), and I have almost 100% guaranteed success rate in launching my SP.
