Last year it was generally a hit, but there were some complaining (including my self) that it was a conflict between anti-hoarding and saving for events like it, and some more advanced notice would have been nice, so people didn't actually randomly use 5 star AGs because... what else are you going to do with them when you have more of those than unawakened champions?
Given how poorly received the lack of gold event was in the community: I think some news on this would go a long way. It doesn't need to be a date, or what items would be in it, or whatever... just something along the lines of... either saying it will or won't happen by end of year would be nice. Even if that it will be say part of the lunar new year event instead of gifting envelopes since all forms of gifting are going away.
Obviously people will hope the answer is yes, and no matter what the store is, there will be those happy, and those who are just shy in their inventory / will be upset... that's what happens with trade in events... but just some update on it.
