Incursions - Itemless Thronebreakers

Hey All,
I’m interested in how far all of you Thronebreakers out there push into the Incursions…
I have just recently turned Thronebreaker, and my initial try of Incursions went like this:
Sector 7 - Zone 7
Sector 8 - Zone 6
Sector 9 - Zone 3
After that, I would need some items, but didn’t want to spend the units… Maybe I could push a bit further if I wait for my top team to come off cooldown…
This gave me about 22k Artefakts, so with this progress, I should be able to get me a 6* incursion crystal in a total of 4 months… 😂
So I Wonder: How Deep do you push into incursions as a Thronebreaker with no items? That is: How many Artefacts do you collect per month?

A: I didn't use items. I just went till my team was wiped out

I was just looking for some comparison, but now I’m jealous of your roster! 😂
Great pull by the way… My best option would be to awaken my Hyperion as well, and therefore laid eyes on one of the incursion crystals, because they have a 1:10 chance… But they are 81k Artefacts, so don’t know if it’s worth the 4 months grind…

Is there a penalty for starting a new room but not being able to complete it?
Ok, a bit off topic, but… I don‘t need the 6* incursion crystal anymore… I just duped my Hyperion! 😂
BG Rank rewards just came in (completely out of the blue, I wasn‘t expecting anything)… used the shards to open a basic and, boom, 6* Hyp Dupe…

Seems overtuned imo. Maybe I’m a scrub though 🤷♂️. Didn’t have any trouble in act 7.
Side note. The “top zone bonuses” are structured in a way that makes the player not want to try again. Why would I do sector 7 passed the first attempt when I won’t get rewards until I clear zone 10?
Don’t get me wrong. I understand the need to structure it SOME way. And for that structure to not allow you to infinitely farm shards and artifacts. But I also think there IS a better way.
Maybe like half rewards for the zone repeats? So if you can only ever get to sector 9 zone 5, you still get something for doing it multiple times? And you don’t just hop in each zone once a week?
Just spit-balling ideas.
Before, Artifacts could be found in completing rooms + milestones.
In the previous structure, you would get the Artifacts you could get for the month (for example, if you can only make it to Room 5, you would get artifacts for Rooms 1-5 once that month). But the incentive to keep doing Incursions even after that, was that there would be Milestone rewards every few days. So for example, in October, 1 run to get to Room 5, and then after that doing Incursions room 1-4 every few days, to get the artifacts from milestones.
Currently, Artifacts are only found in completing rooms [Alliance and Solo milestones are a separate thing from Incursion Milestones]. So if you're not going for Alliance milestones (which can net you some artifacts), you really only have to do one Incursion run once for the month and be done with it.
