Gorr balancing (opinion)

With Kabam recently taking another look at June’s champs Wiccan and Hulkling, I decided to start thinking about July’s champs, Valkyrie and Gorr. As for Valkyrie, I haven’t seen too much about her because she isn’t readily available yet and from what I have seen she’s a champ who’s good at what she does and that’s that. As for Gorr, he’s still a somewhat decent champion and has interesting utility and has a place in the contest, but I don’t think what he offers justifies a somewhat stressful playstyle topped off with lack of access to a valuable mastery that many players are fully accustomed to. While I understand that not every champ needs to be fully recoil tree compatible and that gorr does actually balance out when using those masteries at around 35%, this risky and somewhat wonky playstyle as punishment for using those masteries doesn’t feel as rewarding as it should. I thought of Nick Fury as an example. He’s very unsustainable when running the recoil tree masteries but he’s literally top of class and arguably in game in bleed damage. Gorr may prove his worth over time, but right now I think he could definitely benefit from 1 of these 3 things to make him stand out better in both his class and the game
1. Just give him willpower back. This wouldn’t be a super difficult change and would put him on a lot more people’s radar as a champ.
2. Give him lifesteal % on hit per vicious buff on him. This would be a more thoughtful change better fitting of his character and targeted play loop and would essentially act as a less potent Life Transfer.
3. % Debuff resistance per shadow magic buff. This would certainly make him very unique being able to handle bleed, poison, and shock in his kit but might be a little much.
